Extensive Import and Export functions are available to help keeping school  administration systems up to date. The system is primarily a client/server application utilizing Microsoft SQL Server 2003 (not supplied) or a Microsoft Access database for those schools not running or unable to run SQL Server 2003. SQL Server is the recommended database platform in a multi-user environment.

Attendance may be taken in the following manner:

• Teachers in the classroom where a computer and network connection is available.
• Teachers in their office or any other networked computer later in the day.
• Administration staff using bar-coded lists marked previously by teachers.
• Via workstations fitted with barcode, magnetic stripe, Smartcard, Fingerprint scanners.
• With a stand alone version of IDAttend on a laptop and synchronised with the main database at a later stage.

IDAttend handles Excursions, Re-assignments, late and leave passes as well as uniform passes. The system includes a full range of Reports, including parent letter generation, Text SMS and email capability, as well as System Administrator, Administrator, Coordinator and Teacher functions based on security levels set for each user.
There is also a Visitors module that can issue visitor passes. IDAttend is fully customisable to suit your school's requirements. On-line help is available for all functionality with IDAttend.
